There are three reporting methods available in Blanchard Exchange: Individual, Group, and Account-focused reports.
Some products provide basic completion reporting, while others offer more detailed reporting features. Select a topic below for details on how completion is reported:
- eLearning
- LAPII Online Assessment
- LBAII Self, Change Scan, & Team Assessments
- Documents or Downloadable Material
- Streaming Video
- SLII App and Team Leadership App
Individual Progress Reports
Go to the Projects tab and select your project:
Scroll down within your project to view individual completion status. Click the plus icon next to a participant to see more details about specific assignment completion (Figure 1).
More complex products delivered through Blanchard Exchange may include additional reporting features and data. These details can be viewed by selecting Show details (Figure 2).
Group Progress Reports
A snapshot of participant progress can be viewed on the project Overview tab (Figure 3).
To see a breakdown of group activity, go to the Reports tab and select one of the following reports (Figure 4):
Participant Status: View all participants in the project along with a summary completion report for all course activities.
Participant Status – Simple: Similar to the report above, but does not include specific completions for each course activity. Instead, this report provides a high-level summary with general information about overall course completion status.
Challenge Completion Report*: View progress based on the individual Challenges completed within a Challenge product.
Challenge Product Activity*: View a summary of Challenge assignment activity, including total visits, average visits per user, total accessed, and total completed.
Participant Status – Detailed: Similar to the Participant Status report, but includes additional completion details for each individual assignment. For example, a course activity may include five specific assignments. The standard Participant Status report shows only the overall activity status (for example, Not Started, In Progress, or Completed), while this report displays completion status for each individual assignment.
*Indicates that this report is available only if the product is being used within the project.
Account Reports
Go to the Reports tab on the left-hand side of the screen (Figure 5) and select a report:
Administrators: Lists all individuals who have been granted some level of account access, including administrators, account trainers, and users with read-only access.
Awards: View all digital credentials that have been awarded to learners through Credly based on course completion in Blanchard Exchange during the selected reporting period. Note that this report will be populated only if digital credentials are attached to your projects.
Credit Status – Add-ons: View a list of credits purchased, available, used, and expired for all Blanchard add-on products not covered by a course.
Credit Status – Courses: Similar to the report above, this report lists credits purchased, available, used, and expired for courses.
Participant Errors: Displays all projects along with the number of bounced emails and activation errors recorded during the selected reporting period.
Program Access Credits: Lists any Program Access Credits ordered for the account and includes a drill-down feature to view the courses covered by each Program Access Credit.
Project Completion Status: A high-level summary of all projects in the account, including the total number of learners enrolled in each project and overall completion details.
Users: Lists all users associated with the account.
Product Completion: Provides an account-level breakdown of all participants and individual completion rates across all products.
Automated Communication Plan Activity: Provides a summary of email sends, opens, and click-throughs to Blanchard Exchange for emails triggered by automated communication plans.
Challenge Completion Report*: Displays completion details for individual Challenge assignments for all learners in the account who have access to one or more Challenge products. A Column Visibility option is available next to the export options to add or remove individual Challenge assignments from the report.
Challenge Product Activity*: Provides a summary of Challenge assignment activity, including total visits, average visits per user, total accessed, and total completed. This report is also available at the project level.
Content Usage: View summary completion details for all individual assignments that roll up under a specific course during the selected reporting period.
Enrollment Status: Provides a breakdown of project enrollment, course enrollment, and completion for all users in the account, including assignment completion totals.
Product Activity Summary by Course: Summarizes individual assignment views and completions for assignments within a course. Files listed under the Resources tab are also included but will not show activity, as completion is not tracked for those items.
Project Team Members: Lists all projects and associated team member assignments (for example, Project Trainers who have access to the Trainer Portal for specific projects).
*Indicates that the report is available only if the product is enabled for your account.
eLearning
Most of our eLearning modules include both instructional content and a final quiz. To achieve completion status and a passing quiz score, learners must meet the following criteria:
Completion: The learner has viewed at least 90% of the module content.
Passing Quiz Criteria: The learner has earned a score of 65% or higher on the final quiz.
Project Status Report
As noted above under Group Reports, this report displays the following completion statuses for each learner:
Not Started: Indicates that the learner has made no progress in any of the modules.
In Progress: Indicates that the learner has made progress in one or more of the four modules. One or more modules may be fully completed while the learner is still in this status.
Completed: Indicates that the learner has viewed the content in all four modules and has passed the final quiz.
Overdue: Indicates that one or more modules are not completed and the deadline listed for the course or project has passed. Modules may still be completed after the deadline.
Individual Progress
As noted above under Individual Progress Reports, individual learner completion status can be viewed on the project’s Participants tab.
When viewing individual progress, the same status indicators listed above are displayed for eLearning modules. Progress for each of the four modules can be viewed using this method.
Additionally, final quiz scores for modules that include quizzes can be viewed by selecting Show details at the top of the individual learner’s status.
LAPII Online Assessment
When viewing a participant’s progress in Blanchard Exchange for the LAPII Online Assessment, note that there are four status indicators shown on the Project Status report:
Not Started: The learner has not started the assessment.
In Progress: Indicates that some activity has been recorded. Activity may include one or more of the following: rater invitations have been sent; the learner has started or completed the Self survey; or raters have completed the questionnaire.
Completed: Indicates that the learner has met the minimum requirements to receive a report (the Self survey is completed and at least three rater responses have been received).
Overdue: Indicates that the deadline has passed and the minimum requirements have not been met.
LBAII Self Assessment (SLII® 2.0), Change Scan, & Team Assessments
The following progress indicators are displayed in Blanchard Exchange for the LBAII Self Assessment from SLII® 2.0*, Change Scan*, and Team Assessment*:
Not Started: The learner has not started the assessment.
In Progress: Indicates that the learner has some activity recorded.
Completed: Indicates that the learner has completed the Self assessment.
Overdue: Indicates that the deadline has passed and the learner has not completed the Self assessment.
* Note for LBAII Self Assessment from SLII® 3.0: The LBAII Self Assessment included in SLII® 3.0 courses is delivered as an eLearning module and therefore follows standard eLearning reporting, as described earlier in this article.
** Note for Change Scan and Team Assessment: Currently, Change Scan and Team Assessment provide completion reporting for the Self questionnaire only. Rater completion details are not passed to Blanchard Exchange. To access these details, please submit a request to your Blanchard Exchange Support Contact.
Documents or Downloadable Material
All basic documents and files downloaded by learners—such as PDFs, Word documents, and spreadsheets—are marked as completed as soon as the learner selects the Start button to open or download the file.
Streaming Video
Streaming video is marked as completed once the video player’s timeline reaches 80% of the total video length.
SLII App and Team Leadership App
The SLII App and Team Leadership App are marked as completed as soon as the activation code is used to unlock the app on a device. Completion will automatically carry over to future projects.
