Blanchard Exchange includes default email templates with your account. Many of these emails are added based on the courses you are deploying.
If you would like to change or edit the content of an email, including the subject line, there are two options available.
Option 1: Edit the email when you send or schedule it (one-time use)
This option allows you to edit on the fly, creating a one-time change to an email template and customizing it for a specific group.
- From the home page, click the Projects tab and select your project.
- Place a check next to the names of the people you would like to email, or select all by using the checkbox at the top.
- Click Send Email...
- Select the email template you would like to use.
- Edit the subject line and body of the email. IMPORTANT: Use caution when editing any dynamic content, such as ${accesslink}, as this content is used by the system to deliver login information to participants.
- Click "Send Email".
Option 2: Create a custom email template (ongoing use)
This option allows you to create customized email templates to use and reuse across multiple projects. The custom templates you create will be available for use by all administrators who have access to your account.
- On your main account navigation, select the "Library" tab (Figure 1-1).
- Select the Email Templates sub-option (Figure 1-2).
- Click on the template you would like to edit.
- Click Copy to New at the top of the screen to create a copy of the template. Default templates cannot be edited, and must be copied to create a new customized version.
- Name your new template and modify/add a description.
- Click Save email template to create your new template.
- To edit your new template, select it and then select Edit Email at the top of the screen.
- Edit the subject line and body of the email. IMPORTANT! - Use caution when editing any dynamic content such as ${accesslink} as these are used by the system to deliver login information to the participants.
- Click "Save Email".
Your new template will now appear in the dropdown menu when sending communications to your participants under a section labeled Custom Templates.
