Administrators who wish to record attendance in Blanchard Exchange, and/or use conditional rules based on the successful completion of live events by individual learners, can record attendance/completion when using moderated events in their courses.
To record completion, first ensure that the project's course is already using the moderated event type for all events that require completion statuses manually set by the administrator. See here for more information.
To set completion/attendance:
- Select the project's Events tab
- Locate the appropriate event
- Select the listed total under Participants (Figure 1-1)
- Select the check boxes next to the appropriate learners, and then select Change Status* (Figure 1-2)
- Locate the Results drop-down, and select the appropriate status (Figure 1-3):
- Passed: This indicates successful completion of the event and/or attendance. This status will set the event's reporting status to "Completed/Passed" on project-level reports.
- Failed: This indicates that the selected learners did not successfully complete the event and/or did not attend. This status will set the event's reporting status to "Completed/Failed" on project-level reports.
*The Change Status options also include the following fields:
-
-
Invitations: This field is generally used when calendar invitations are sent from Blanchard Exchange, and will be set independently by each learner based on their response to the calendar invitations. This assumes that the learner chooses to send their acceptance back to Blanchard Exchange. The response can be overridden by the administrator in Blanchard Exchange. Note that this does not override the learner's original calendar acceptance on their personal calendar.
- Attendance: Attendance can be set as its own independent field, but does not currently show on any reports and cannot currently be used with course builder rules. The Results drop-down is recommended for both purposes.
