A new event type has been added allowing administrators to mark completion of events for specific learners in Blanchard Exchange. Additionally, a search feature has been introduced to locate course templates when setting up new projects, along with some additional interface improvements.
Moderated Events
Administrators and course builders will now find two event types listed in the course builder for classroom, virtual, and teleconference events:
- “Automatic” is the existing event type that marks completion as soon as the event reaches its end date/time.
- “Moderated” requires an administrator to manually mark completion of the event for each learner under a project’s Events tab.
Attendance is recorded using the “Completed/Passed” or the “Completed/Failed” statuses within Blanchard Exchange, and will show on Project Status reports and individual completion status under the Participants tab of projects.
While the moderated event is useful for general attendance tracking within Blanchard Exchange, it can also be paired with the course builder’s conditional features, allowing content to stay locked for certain individuals unless completion of one or more events are recorded by the administrator.

Project Set-up Course Search
The project set-up process has been revised with interface improvements, including a new feature to search for course templates on the course selection page.
The steps to set up a project have not changed, but administrators will now find that the selection of the course template has been separated into its own step from the other project set-up items, including the project name and time zone settings.
