We are excited to announce the release of digital credentialing for learners though Blanchard Exchange! Organizations now have the option to issue digital credentials to learners who achieve course completion in Blanchard Exchange. This issuance is made possible through an integration with Credly by Pearson.
What are digital credentials used for?
- Digital credentials offer your learners a chance to show off what they’re learning and to hype the organization by letting others know what kinds of development opportunities you’ve afforded them. It’s a win-win!
- Secure digital credentials can be used in email signatures, résumés, and social media sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and X. These digital images contain verified metadata that describes earner qualifications and the process required to earn them.
Which programs include digital credentials?
Digital credentials are available for all our off-the-shelf solutions except for Learning Journeys, Concepts, and Overview versions of our solutions. Custom credentials can also be created and distributed. Please connect with your Blanchard representative if you are interested in custom credentials.
Are digital credentials issued automatically?
Each organization has the option to offer digital credentials. For organizations who do not wish to issue credentials, no action is necessary!
When organizations choose to issue digital credentials, administrators will attach a digital credential to each Blanchard Exchange project. Learners who successfully complete a Blanchard Exchange course in a project that contains a credential will be awarded their credential through an email from Credly. There will also be a reference to the credential directly in Blanchard Exchange under the learner’s Awards tab in the Learner Portal.
Learners can choose to either incorporate their credential under an existing Credly profile or set up a brand-new profile at the time of claiming the credential. See here for more information.
Our default completion criteria require that the learner complete all LAUNCH assignments/prework and core course content, and that all live event dates have passed. Components such as digital playlists or APPLY content are not required to be issued a badge. As soon as a learner achieves course completion, their credential will be issued.
Can completion criteria be modified?
Yes! Organizations may choose to modify the completion criteria of their courses for credential issuance. This could include swapping automated events for moderated events (an administrator will manually record completion of each live event in Blanchard Exchange) or setting the APPLY assignments as required to achieve course completion. Client administrators can modify the course completion criteria based on the tutorials found here.
Do you offer historical issuance?
We are offering issuance of SLII digital credentials for learners who have completed the course in the last 24 months. Organizations must opt in by providing us with a list of first names, last names, and email addresses of previous SLII learners. Historical insurance for other solutions is not available.
Are credentials available in all supported languages?
Credentials are currently offered in English. Additional language credentials supported by Credly will be available in the near future.
Credentialing on global instances of Blanchard Exchange is coming soon.
I’m an administrator. What are the steps I need to follow to start issuing credentials?
